Container or groupage: how to ship furniture from China
When a dedicated container pays off and when a share of a groupage shipment is better.
Furniture from China usually travels one of two ways: in its own container or as groupage together with other clients' orders.
Groupage
Good for small orders: you pay only for your volume. The downside is reloading at warehouses, so good packaging matters even more.
A dedicated container
Pays off for large orders: a whole apartment, house or restaurant. The container is loaded at the warehouse and opened at the recipient, so the furniture is handled less.
